How do you want life to feel?

How do you want life to feel?

What’s the first word that comes to mind?

Here’s the weird thing about high achievers  - they spend a lot of time thinking about what to achieve next, and not nearly enough time thinking about how they want to feel.

The challenge is that achievements, no matter how big, will not fulfill you unless you’ve laid a foundation of meaning and intention for those achievements in the first place. I used to do this all wrong. I assumed that the goals I achieved would lead to good feelings. Spoiler alert: they didn’t.

That doesn’t mean it’s wrong to want what you want. But why do you want it? Has the getting of the things you want led to feeling good about your life? If it hasn’t, it’s time to reassess.

How do you want your life to feel? Name the feeling. Claim it. Then make sure the goals you set are in alignment so you don’t reach the finish line and feel empty.
